Grace and Ryan had always dreamed of a small, intimate wedding with their closest family and friends – and like that, the vision became a reality. They had the most authentic and quaint backyard wedding in Cincinnati, Ohio.
Getting Ready For An Intimate Backyard Wedding
The lovely pair decided to have their wedding in the backyard of their apartment. This was such a clever and budget-saving idea. Grace invited their family to be a part of her getting ready photos, and she wanted her first look photos with her father; it was indeed a family affair! There was so much laughter and love, and it was so infectious. You could feel and hear the excitement of the couple before the nuptials.
A Vintage Wedding Dress
Grace donned a beautiful 1940s vintage ball gown for her wedding dress. The dress was a gorgeous beige, and she paired it with a simple veil and long tulle gloves. You’re probably thinking, where did she get this?! She found these stunning pieces at a thrift store. Moreover, Grace wore a vintage jewelry collection from her own line. Grace had such great style. Backyard Wedding Ceremony
Their ceremony was held in their apartment backyard, where 50 people of their closest friends and family were in attendance. This wedding was filled with so many simple outdoor wedding ideas; the arch was made of vintage fabrics, and their candles were in vintage gold candlestick holders. The guests sat at simple yet elegant tables; they combined the ceremony and reception space, which was another clever idea. When it got to the vows, there was not a single dry eye. Everyone felt the touching words from the couple, and it was amazing to capture this heartfelt moment.
Unique Green Wedding Portraits
Grace and Ryan’s neighbor offered them their backyard to take creative bride and groom portraits. This space was glorious. It was entirely overgrown with ivy and trees, making it a wild green oasis. The newlyweds wanted a candid and intimate portrait, and these did not disappoint!
The entire day was simple, intimate, and meaningful—exactly the type of weddings we love to photograph. If you’re interested in hiring me for your beautiful story, don’t hesitate to get in touch with us here.
